KOFAR YANDAKA DAY OLD STUDENTS ASSOCIATION.

[KOYDOSA] PROGRESS REPORT. FOR THE YEAR UNDER REVIEW.

                                                                 20. 09. 2009.

Following the inauguration of the executive members of the Association during  the sallah period, at  one of its meetings and part of its Agenda , the Excutives members wishes to present the progress report it has recorded.

The association is proud to for the first time put the association on a sound footing, since the establishment of the old students it has been on a shaky foundation without a legal backing, it has been operating on a chapter constitution without a concrete document in which to operate. So as result of the above , the excutive were able to:

       [1] Register with cooperate affairs commission. The association was able to register with the commission so as to enable us deal where possible in a legal way with anybody and any organization. The essence is to enable the association interact with any body without fear of being sued, so we can sue and be sued and we can engage in any legal business so as to earn a sort of revenue to the association. The registration has been done a certificate has been issued with a seal stamp for the association to enter in to any legal business and  for the purpose of generating revenue for the association.

     [2] Constitution of the Board of trustee: The association was able to through consultations arrived at the decision of constituting a board of trustee for the association. The board was constituted and the name of the members was sent for either approval by the general public or rejection in the National dailies, i.e New Nigeria and Daily trust. The board has the following as members:

[a] Alhaji Jafaru Ahamed [J>B]  Chairman.

[b] Engineer Muttaqa Rabe Darma. Member.

[c] Alhaji Suleiman Iguda Ladan.       Member.

[d] Alhaji  Abbas Umar Masanawa.  Member.

[e] Alhaji Salisu Lawal Uli.                  Secretary.

     Part of the schedule of the document of the board of trustee is that, the board of trustee shall have a chairman and a secretary. The board shall have  a Grand patron and atleast 2 other patrons. Also part of the document specify that there shall have quarterly meetings of the congress that is atleast three times a year followed by the Annual  General Meeting during Sallah period or as may be decided by the congress. The congress shall also decide on the next date of the meeting and if possible who is to sponsor the meeting.

     [3] Presentation of books to the school: A member donated assorted types of books to the school, the books were presented to the principal by the executives of the association after they were stamped. The principal was called upon to utilized the donated books by keeping them in the school library so as to enable both staff and students to make use of them effectively. The principal in this respect thank the donor and the exco for the gesture and he call upon other old students to emulate the donors.

    [4] Zebra Crossing and sign post: The association was able to through its meager funds to as a matter of security of lives of the present students of the school to mount a zebra crossing and mount a sign post indicating stop and also indicating there are students around the area.

    [5] E-mail. The association was able to open an account which members can send and receive messages. The user ID is koydosa16@yahoo.com and the password is exco 2009. The association also wishes to inform members that you can log in to google type koydosa and you learn as well as well as read more on koydosa and its activities  in Face book. Plan are under way to also have a permanent website for the association, the web page has been developed and before our next meeting it will be launched for everybody to have access to information globally.

     The excutives also wishes to use this opportunity to recognise once again the various achievements being recorded by its alma matter in the government and private sector. We will like to recognise the laudable appointment of Eng. Muttaqa Rabe Darma, Alh. Bishir Gambo Saulawa, Alh. Maa Balarabe, Alh.Muhammad Yusuf Abubakar, Dr,Naaliya Darma, Alh.Salisu Lawal Uli,Alh. Aminu Rashid R/Dadi, Alh. Abbas umar Masanawa, Alh. Ado Mailamama, Alh. Salele Saddiq, Alh. Muhammad Haruna, Alh. Muhammad Abubakar, Alh.Tijjani Abubakar, Alh. Isiyaku Rabiu Darma and a very many of us too many to be mentioned in this piece. We pray to Almighty to continue to shower His Blessing, protect as well as guide us unto the straight fath Ameen.

Part of its line of activities presently are : constituting of Board of trustee, opening of an account for correspondences ie e-mails, producing sing post and zebra crossing around the premises of the school and many other things details will be provided later.
